Sports massage
in Plainview, NY

Targeted work for people who train: recover faster between sessions, loosen what's tight before an event, and get back to your sport after a strain.

In plain terms

It's not a spa massage with more pressure. Anna works the specific muscles your sport overloads, at the right intensity for where you are in your training.

$130 per 60-minute session — insurance-billable when medically indicated.

Indications

What sports massage is for.

Anna matches the work to your training cycle and the muscles your sport loads most. These are the reasons athletes book.

01

Training recovery

Post-training tightness and soreness worked out, so the next session isn't compromised.

02

Pre-event preparation

Lighter, quicker work in the days before a race or game, to loosen up without leaving you sore.

03

Overuse & tight spots

Hamstrings, calves, hips and shoulders that stay tight from repetitive training.

04

Injury recovery

Strains and sprains once your doctor or physical therapist has cleared you, charted session by session.

05

Range of motion

Assisted stretching and soft-tissue work to win back movement lost to tightness.

06

Staying healthy

Regular sessions during a heavy training block to catch problems before they turn into injuries.

Timing matters

Book it at the right point in your training.

Sports massage works best when the intensity matches the timing. Deep work right before a competition can leave you sore; the same work a few days after a hard effort speeds recovery.

When you book, tell Anna what you're training for and when your next event is.

Before an event
Lighter work 2–3 days out. Nothing deep in the last 48 hours.
After an event
Cool down and rehydrate first. Deeper recovery work fits best 1–3 days later.
Afterwards
Drink water and keep moving lightly. Some soreness the next day is normal after deep work.
See a doctor first if
You have a new injury with swelling, can't bear weight, or suspect a tear or fracture.
